Sprita
Cloud AI character and short-motion generation, with frame inspection, background cleanup and PNG sprite-sheet export for 2D game prototypes.
Reviewed from official sources for 2D game prototyping. New AI generation, complete account exports and engine imports have not been independently tested.
Try Sprita on a small game task
Prepare one short animation candidate and validate its manual handoff to a 2D game.
- Choose a character, facing and action using artwork you have permission to process. Confirm the source image, available tier, upload notice and generation quote.
- Review the short motion and select usable frames. Clean the background, inspect character identity and alignment, and export a PNG sheet with its actual cell dimensions, columns and frame count recorded.
- Independently inspect the downloaded file, then configure slicing, pivots, frame order, FPS and looping manually in the target engine. Test playback and transitions at the intended game scale.
Accept after the actual output preserves identity and root placement, fits its cells, has usable transparency and plays correctly in the game. This complete workflow remains to be independently tested.
An editorial starting point to validate in your own project.
Where Sprita fits
Strong fit
- Exploring character silhouettes and a short motion direction
- Preparing manually reviewed idle, walk, attack and other action candidates
- Inspecting frames, cleaning backgrounds and arranging PNG sprite sheets
Know before choosing
- The public player uses curated Sprita-owned samples. Their license permits evaluation and unreleased prototypes; commercial release or standalone redistribution requires written permission. Sample playback does not establish new generation quality.
- Use inputs you have rights to process and commercialize. Sprita grants no third-party IP rights and does not guarantee exclusive output; applicable generation-provider terms still need review.
- Inspect anatomy, equipment, ground contact, scale, transparent edges and loop seams. A completed cloud motion still needs frame selection and game acceptance.
- Only PNG output is listed. Other export formats and input size limits were not verified. Paid plans advertise a Godot 4.x plugin, but installation and compatibility have not been tested; manual PNG import needs engine setup.
- Cloud generation and moderation use external providers under their own policies. Sprita says it does not proactively train its own general-purpose model on private media; provider training and retention conditions were not independently verified.
- Cloud media remains while membership is active, with a 30-day download grace afterward; without membership, retention is 30 days from the latest save. Keep separate backups. Energy Packs do not extend storage.
