SpriteShip
AI generation and editing of 2D game characters, animations, props, environments and UI artwork in a browser workspace.
Official product code and documentation establish a game-focused AI workflow. Fresh generation, downloaded exports and engine integration remain independently untested.
Try SpriteShip on a small game task
Explore one original character and a small matching prop set for a 2D prototype.
- Define the intended camera, art direction and permitted references before choosing a project perspective.
- Check the quoted credit cost, generate a small asset set in an authorized account, and inspect silhouettes, transparency, animation frames and visual consistency.
- Download the documented bundle, inspect its files and license, then wire movement, collisions and UI behavior in your own engine.
Test the exact export and engine version, frame timing, scale, collision data, input rights and any remaining cleanup before using the assets in a game.
An editorial starting point to validate in your own project.
Where SpriteShip fits
Strong fit
- Exploring original character and prop concepts around a shared project art direction
- Planning sprite animations, matching object collections and visual UI components for a 2D prototype
- Preparing artwork for a visually authored map, followed by separate gameplay and engine work
Know before choosing
- The creation workspace requires sign-in. This review inspected public pages, documentation, client generation requests and saved examples; it did not create an account or generate a new asset. Quality, consistency and failure recovery remain untested.
- Documentation describes sprite sheets, atlas metadata, engine bundles and Tiled map exports. No downloaded bundle or Phaser, Godot, Unity, GameMaker or Unreal import was independently checked; formats and engines are therefore left unverified. Map authoring and gameplay logic need separate work.
- The vendor says failed AI calls return credits and successful but imperfect results remain charged. Exact costs can differ across models and asset types. Technical refunds, retry allowances and watermark removal were not tested; eligible generated media is advertised as watermark-free after a first purchase.
- Terms allow commercial use only to the extent SpriteShip can grant the relevant rights. They do not guarantee exclusivity, copyright eligibility or freedom from third-party claims. Use prompts and references you own or are authorized to process; a broad export-license description does not establish third-party rights.
- Prompts and reference images are sent to KIE.ai; RunPod handles video-frame background removal, and Cloudflare R2 / Amazon S3 store assets. The privacy policy retains generated assets while an account is active and describes deletion with the asset or account. A uniform provider-side deletion deadline was not established.
- The privacy policy says external AI training needs separate consent. Pricing cards and feature tables differ about some API/team and skeleton-export availability; those features are not treated as verified integrations here. Check the exact workflow and export before committing to a production pipeline.
